Anna's Scarf

This scarf incorporates a knit-twist lattice with lace stitch pattern using two (2) skeins of our 100% Mongolian Cashmere DK 4-Ply in color Natural White.  The finished measurements are 54 inches long by 6 inches wide.  While very warm during the cold winter season, it has a lighter look and feel because of the stitch pattern and the feather-weight cashmere yarn. Easy scarf, ideal for gifts.

Shetland Bead and Madeira Lace

A Shetland lace knit in US 0, single strand. This is a traditional Shetland bead and madeira design that can be used as a very pretty center design for fine shawls and veils. This pattern is adequate for skirts, fine scarves, heirloom blankets, and more. Use also for inserts for dressy skirts and blouses. If you use circular knitting needles, you can construct a beautiful skirt. The skirt could be straight if you only use this lace stitch, but you can make other skirt styles if you keep center lace panels in the front and back, and use stockingette stich for the sides to do increases/decreases as necessary. The lace sample has a gauge of 45 stitches by 52 rows, yielding 8 1/4 inches wide by 7 1/4 inches long.

Pythagorean Pattern Scarf

This is a great pattern for a scarf because it knits very much the same on both sides, so it is reversible. Very quick to knit, great for a gift. Shown using Artyarns Ultramerino 8 in color UM8117, two (2) skeins, it is very warm and soft. Other suitable yarns: our Luxury DK 100% Cashmere, JaggerSpun Zephyr DK Wool-Silk, JaggerSpun Heather, Artyarns Supermerino, Artyarns Regal Silk for a beautiful sheen.

Shetland Rose Lace

This is a Shetland lace knit in US 0, single strand. The pattern is a rose diamond lace pattern, also known as “Rose Trellis Lace,” a traditional Shetland pattern that is claimed to have descended from a famous sixteenth century pattern known as “Mrs. Montague’s Lace.” This pattern can be used as a very pretty center design for fine shawls, veils and other garments, or as a border pattern to items that have other centers. This pattern is adequate for skirts, fine scarves, heirloom blankets, and more. Use also for inserts for dressy skirts and blouses. You could also construct a beautiful lined skirt. The lace sample has a gauge of 81 stitches by 55 rows, yielding 19 1/4 inches wide by 8 1/2 inches long.

Shapely Top

This shapely top is shown in a Women's size S, using Artyarns Regal Silk in color RS115. We used just under five (5) skeins to complete this top. Features raglan sleeves, a purl ridge along the V-neck and lower hem, and lace trims along the sleeves. Darting instructions included to meet your particular figure requirements. Vary the sleeve length as needed. Other suitable yarns: our Luxury 100% DK Cashmere; JaggerSpun Zephyr, Super Fine Merino or Heather; Artyarns Supermerino; and Artyarns Ultramerino 8. We can customize this pattern for your size and gauge.

Old Shell Shetland Lace Pattern

A Shetland lace knit with US 0 size needles, single strand. This is a famous pattern, and the one that most people think of when they think of Shetland Lace. It is known as Old Shell, Hap Shell, among other names. It is actually quite easy and fast to knit. I got the color combination idea from page 65 of the April 2006 issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine, where there is an advertisement for a beautiful pair of Louis Vuitton shoes. I went to their store in NYC and matched the swatches. The colors I used were Cassis, Dianthus, Plum, and Curry. Lace is used quite a bit this season, and I tried to come up with a way to complement those shoes! This is a great pattern for Spring/Summer scarves, shawls, and skirts.
