Lace and solid chevrons alternate on this circular shawl that celebrates the beauty of life despite its ups and downs. Knit in stockinette stitch lace, the shawl begins with a center flower and ends with a garter stitch chevron edging. Since this edging can be started after any round, it is easy to customize the size.
The shawl is shown in a fine lace weight yarn, but would also work in slightly heavier yarns. Designed for the adventurous knitter, this heirloom quality shawl makes a special, life affirming gift.
Size: After blocking, about 60” (154 cm) in diameter.
Needles: US size 3 (3.25 mm) 16”, 24” & 29” (40, 60 & 80 cm) circular needles; set of 5 double pointed needles in the same size.
Yarn Requirements: Approx 2800 yards (2799 m) of fine lace weight yarn.
