Light and airy, the Misty Vales Stole features beautiful Shetland lace motifs in an undulating design, evocative of the hills and dales on a misty Scottish day.
The stole is started with a provisional cast on at one end, then worked to the other end. Stitches are picked up around the outside edge and a wide lace border is worked sideways to the stole, casting off as the edging is worked. There is lace shaping on both sides. This is a garter stitch stole.
